Patient presents with a cough. What's the diagnosis?
Typical features of left upper lobe collapse are evident on the scout CT image (juxtaphrenic peak sign, elevation of the left hemidiaphragm, crowding of left ribs, veiling density of left hemithorax and luftshichel sign. The anatomic basis for the luftsichel sign is evident on the CT where the hyper-expanded apical segment of the left lower lobe has insinuated itself between the aortic arch and collapsed left upper lobe.
