Patient presents with chest pain and an arrhythmia. What's the diagnosis?
Amongst many findings in this case, a left ventricular apical aneurysm is evident on the arterial phase images. There is a large pericardial effusion which is relatively hyperdense, though less dense than the blood in the ventricles and atria. Intermittent bleeding from this aneurysm is not excluded. Interstitial pulmonary oedema is evident.
